On January 4, No. 140 CIDEG Academic Salon was held in Room 321, the School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) at Tsinghua University. ZHAN Xueyong, Associate Professor of Department of Management and Marketing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, delivered a keynote speech named “Integrated Development of Innovation Industry in Shenzhen and Hong Kong: Dilemma the Predicament of Public Policy”. CHEN Ling, Associate Professor of SPPM and Deputy Director of CIDEG, moderated the Salon. LIANG Zheng and ZHOU Shaojie, Associate Professors of SPPM, were commentators. Professor ZHU Xufeng and many other scholars, teachers and students attended the Salon. By comparing industrial development models in different countries, Professor ZHAN Xueyong realized that industries in Hong Kong are in the “Death Valley,” and spoke highly of the importance of the integrated development of industries in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
