On January 8, 2020, the 6th China Energy Modelling Forum (CEMF) Annual Meeting was successfully convened at the China Hall of Science and Technology. The Annual Meeting focused its theme on 2050 low carbon emission development strategy, the carbon market, climate change and the Belt and Road Initiative. Delegates shared international frontier information in the climate change and modelling domain and presented the latest research progress in the CEMF mid-to-long-term low emission development strategy project. The meeting held discussions on the latest development of research in different disciplines and provided an open platform for Chinese and overseas researchers to demonstrate and exchange academic results. The meeting was jointly hosted by the School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University, CIDEG of Tsinghua University, Environmental Defense Fund, The Energy System Engineering Expert Committee of China Energy Research Society, The Institute of Energy, Environment and Economics of Tsinghua University and the Institutes of Science and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
