In the Afternoon of September 14, No.155 Academic Salon was held in Room 302. LU Huapu, Director of the Institute of Transportation of Tsinghua University, was invited to give a keynote speech. Professor LU Huapu started with "what kind of future we choose" to inspire discussion and further pointed out 8 major directions toward the solution of urban traf c congestion. In terms of the specific implementation mode and direction, professor LU Huapu stressed the improvement of the intellectual level, promotion of TOD mode, improvement of traffic supply level and implementation of traffic demand management. The salon also invited YUAN Peng, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Transport, and ZHANG Yu, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Urban Transportation, as the commentator. CHEN Ling, Associate Professor of SPPM and Deputy Dean of CIDEG moderated the Salon.
