On May 12, 2019, jointly organized by CEMF and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the 2050 LEDS Study Event: International Symposium for Global Climate Integrated Assessment Model was held in Beijing. This academic event aimed at deepening the research on high-quality development of China’s medium and long-term low emission strategy under the new international context, while strengthening the research on comparison and improvement of models of energy, climate and environment, as well as the exchange of practices and experience in the goal of the near zero emissions of 2050.

Foreign experts from World Bank, IIASA, Columbia University, Aalto University, Utrecht University and domestic experts from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Energy Research Institute, The State Information Center, China Academy of Transportation Science, Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization were invited to share and exchange ideas. More than 100 people from universities, research institutions, enterprises and institutions participated in the seminar.
