Call for Papers for the Fourth (2023) Masahiko Aoki Economics Paper PrizeRelease time: 2023-08-29

Topic:


Focusing on high-level research papers that have made academic contributions in the field of economics related to China's reform and development, especially in the direction of comparative institutional analysis.




Participant Eligibility:


Young scholars at home and abroad who are under 40 years old (including 40 years old) are eligible to apply for the evaluation, including researchers, post-doctoral fellows and doctoral students in universities or research institutes.


 


Paper Requirements:


1, Academic papers that have been submitted into the anonymous reviewing process (relevant proofs must be provided); or journal papers that have been published in the last two years (January 1, 2021 to January 1, 2023)


2. Both Chinese and English papers are acceptable, and Chinese papers should be accompanied by a detailed English abstract (1000 words, including background, research questions, methodology, empirical results and contributions);


 


Participation process:


1、Paper deadline: participants are required to submit a complete sample of the paper before September 1, 2023


2、Preliminary review: the CIDEG Center will organize the pre-selection by the experts of the review committee, and announce the results of the preliminary selection (5-7 papers) before October 30, 2023, and award the nomination prize.


3、Re-review: Final evaluation of the shortlisted papers will be conducted by the review committee, and the winners (1-2 papers) will be selected before November 30, 2023 and announced.


 


Essay Submission:


Declared participants are required to submit the completed application form, paper abstract and full paper by email to the official email address before September 1, 2023

Judging Criteria:


1. comprehensive quality and scientificity of the research;


2. The application of international cutting-edge theories and methods;


3、Originality or practical significance of the results;


4. Encourage empirical research that addresses the reality of China.


 


Awarding method:


The jury will select 1-2 best papers from the "Nomination Prize" papers and award the "Masahiko Aoki Economics Paper Award" to the authors.


 


The authors of the award winners will receive


1、It will be invited to attend the CIDEG Annual Conference and have a face-to-face exchange with international top economists;


2、It will be invited to attend various academic activities of CIDEG and participate in the application of CIDEG competitive research projects;


3、Awarded a cash prize of 50,000 RMB.
